So...so far we have zero intelligent replies to post. Anyway I think it is ridiculous that people on this forum refuse to debate this...It is easy for people on both sides Left and Right to surround themselves with like minded individuals and opinions, but true growth and realization comes with dialogue. A monologue is only going to serve to widen the gap that is forming in this country. So can somebody please first read this article then give me an honest and informed opinion on it. Or is that too much to ask?

Think about it for a second.

Abortion is killing the innocent.

Death penalty is killing the guilty.

Capice?

There is nothing to debate. Any moron who can't see the difference between killing a person before birth and killing an adult as a consequence of a particularly heinous and violent action that they committed voluntarily has to be a Dimocrat.

The widening gap, my uninformed friend is represented by the number of people who are beginning to see the light with respect to abortion.

And if you want to see some very in-depth discussions, please use the search function here and you will find many, which, by the way do not include your anti-conservative rant.

"Anyway I think it is ridiculous that people on this forum refuse to debate this."

No debate needed. I'm already perfectly sound in my belief that there should be no death penalty for criminals in America.

But to give clemency to the guilty while openly dooming the innocent is a much greater hypocrisy. If you're not open to agreeing with that then why should we bother with the discourse?

In reality, you are a coward! There are plenty of posts here that you could respond to. You are afraid of intelligent dialogue because you don't stand a chance!

It's administered by a group we call the Viking Kittens...

And, by the way, it's not that we refuse to debate it. We've debated it many times. We just refuse to debate it with you.

My opinion, pink? Ok, here goes. . .

The whole article was written on the basis of being against the death penealty. Therefore, it is prejudicial to an argument FOR the death penalty. Whether George W Bush had disregard for those on death row is inconsequential. The inmates were convicted of a heineous crime by a jury and given the death penalty. Isn't the jury system one of the basis of our legal system?

Karla Faye Tucker deserved to die for what she did. She freely admitted it. 'nuff said.

BTW, opinions are like a$$---s, everybody has one.

How does one debate your opinion? Why should anyone care what you think or try to change it. This is not the UN, home of meaningless and endless debate. If you don't like it here, go away. I'll hold the door for your whiney butt!

Fine. As you have surely been informed by now on this thread, it is not within the power of a Governor of Texas to grant clemency without the express permission of the parole board. That applies to any Governor of Texas, not just Bush. Sister Prejean surely knew this fact too, yet chose to write paragraph after paragraph insinuating that Bush deliberately witheld clemency from people who deserved it, because he couldn't be bothered to do more than read summaries from Gonzales, who she also tars with Abu Ghraib.

So it's no more than a propaganda piece, aimed at both men, and having less to do with the death penalty or her idols on death row than with her wish to harm Bush and Gonzales.

Sister Prejean should get her own television show. They can call it The Lying Nun,.

An honest, fair and unbiased reaction to that emotional screed is that it is a pile of BS. (e.g., she lies about these incidents regarding Bush. tsk, tsk.)

Would you rather live in a state where there was NO punishment for murder or a state where EVERY MURDERER WAS PUNISHED WITH DEATH?

Answer honestly and then decide if this loony nun is on the level.

Yes it is when you have a tiny little mind that is closed to debate. It appears to be your way or noway. BTW, excellent choice of screenname, it really fits you.

There is no hypocracy here. The difference between the deathpenalty for murderers and abortion is the difference between guilt and innocence.
