Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif received on Wednesday John Kerry, the US Senator and former presidential hopeful.
In statement following the meeting, Kerry, currently visiting Egypt as part of his tour of the Middle East, said the meeting with Nazif dealt with Egyptian efforts in the fields of economy, trade and technology, as well as developments in the Middle East and Iraq.
For his part, Cabinet spokesman Magdi Radi said that Nazif reviewed with Kerry economic reforms which were being carried out by the Egyptian government.
During the meeting, Nazif highlighted the legitimate Palestinian rights and the US role in helping resume Palestinian- Israeli peace negotiations.
Meantime, Kerry admitted that the US committed terrible mistakes in Iraq. During a meeting on Wednesday with grand Imam of Al Azhar Mohamad Sayed Tantawi, Kerry regretted the difficult conditions in Iraq.
The Grand Imam urged all Iraqis to take part in the coming elections to be held on January 30. On his part, Kerry appreciated Al Azhar's prestigious position all over the world, pointing out that there was a common ground between Islam and Christianity.
Who is Kerry?
When is somebody going to silence this guy?
Yeah, Islam promotes the murder of adult humans, and Kerry's version of Christianity allows the "choice" to murder unborn humans. Some common ground...
WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING OVER THERE????????????
SEDITION?
I emailed his office yesterday and asked if his trip was as an individual US citizen or was he representing the US government. Haven't received a reply. Everyone should email his office and complain. Of course, he'd probably like all the attention.
....as they both reminisced about the good old days when only a few thousand (or perhaps a few ten thousands) a year were being slaughtered by Saddam. Oh, if only we could return to the peaceful bliss of those wonderful days."
Memo to Kerry...purchase palace in mid-east and move there please
Where is Waldo?
Same ole' effing traitor he's always been.
I've been asking myself the same thing. When is someone (a pundit, talking head, Repub strategist, Bush Admin spokesperson) saying his trip was not authorized by the Admin (I'm making this assumption) and he does not speak for or on behalf of the Admin or the people of the US.
Geez this guy drives me nuts.
I've not heard Fox giving this any coverage - not sure if any of the MSM are or not (don't read the Slimes, watch CNN, etc.) This is from an Arab newspaper and some of the other reports I've read are from similar sources. That said, it sure doesn't help our 'cause' in that part of the world!
What are you complaining about. All it is is history repeating itself. He stabbed the fighting man in Vietnam and went to Paris to talk to the North Vietnamese, now he stabs the solider in the back by sucking up to the Muslims. The problem isn't with Kerry. The problem is with Massacusetts being to damn stupid to vote in competant leadership for representation.
Why isn't he in the US Senate ?
He's just trying to build up his backing of those foreign leaders he was touting previously...apparently Castro, Saddam, Chirac and Kim Jong Il were not enough to sweep him into power in the US...he needs more unsavory leaders to back him.
You took the words right out of my mouth!
"When is somebody going to silence this guy?"
You can't silence this guy for the same reason you can't circumcize him--"there's no end to that prick."
