Poland and Lithuania, claimed Borrell, had not been instrumental and had essentially been “under U.S. control” while negotiating a settlement between the two sides in the conflict.

GUVNO!

Borrell is a Spanish Social Democrat...

Stopped reading there. That's all I needed to know.

France and to a lesser degree Spain resent the fact that Poland is now at least as important a nation as they are.

Spelling is not correct, but I agree with you.

And now that the European leaders have agreed to open negotiation talks with Turkey, leaving Ukraine out in the cold strikes many as grossly shortsighted.

Unbelievable. The EU is still courting Turkey, a Muslim country, while excluding the Christian Ukraine? I smell a rotting Putin behind this.

Here you have another one.

Does anyone need any more evidence, that Poland and the Poles are purely EU-Brussels servants???
.
Sarcasm, of course.

Former Spanish PM Aznar was one of the best leaders in the world, current Zapatero and his poodle Borrell are just trashes.

" The EU is still courting Turkey, a Muslim country, while excluding the Christian Ukraine? "

A new member must be accepted by all EU countries, so If they don't want Ukraine, they can forget about Turkey.

Be careful. There are quite many around here on FR, that will be convincing you, that Putin is the biggest Christian in Europe.

I wonder if Mr. Borrell knows that Lithuania's President used to work for Bush 41. That should get his pink panties in a bunch.

Jan Sobeiski turned the Turks back from the gates of Vienna in 1683. It's odd how history seems to be repeating itself, although in a different way this time.

The Poles can always be counted on, even though rarely appreciated.:)

Nearly 200 years of brutality by the Russians was not enough to get the Poles or Lithuanians to bend the necks.

The EUnuchs really didn't expect them to kowtow to some paella-breathed Spanish communist in Brussels, did they?

I think the white wash is wearing off of Putin's little statue. He's just a little too obvious...

Working for the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) in the early 70's, Adamkus first headed the environment research center and later was appointed Deputy Administrator at the U.S. EPA Region 5 (Great Lakes Region). He was later promoted to Administrator at the same institution and held that office until June 1997. Adamkus was an active member of the United States Republican Party.
