I thought the correct answer was 'Assembly.' True, there is 'assembly language,' but the others are cross-platform programming languages actually used to code programs. Assembly code is different for every chip, and is not actually something one would (normally) use for programming. Does anyone still sit down and write in assembler?

Whatever one thinks about that answer, "Assembly" was definitely the one answer 'not like the others.'

On the other hand I supposed you could argue machine language is the only "real" programming language, since that what the machine understands. All the others need to be compiled or interpreted before they will execute.

They main reason to use machine language is to write real time programs or drivers.

Arguing about which computer language was correct/incorrect is nerdy.
