Maybe we ought to go in and flatten them the rest of the way?
No need to mince words here FRiend.
I have not donated a penny toward this disaster and thankfully so. I would rather donate to the Disabled American Veterans than waste my money on the ungratefuls of the world. Our veterans deserve our help more than these idiots ever will.
Stop all aid, pull out now. Wish them a hearty AMF on the way out the door.
We should pull out of Indonesia before sundown. There are plenty of other ravaged countries that would love more U.S. relief.
Well, I guess we just need to say, "We're out of here. Hope it all works out for you. Oh, and if you don't need us or our help, you don't need our money, either. Let the great and mighty UN help you out of this mess (free condoms and portable abortion machines? what is up with that?) However, we will continue to pray for the innocent people you are no doubt sentencing to death because you are so greedy and power hungry. Call on all of those rich muslim countries and see how much they are actually willing to help you. Action, not words or condemnation."
Ef em!
I say we get out TODAY, take our $$ and any supplies with us that were about to be delivered. Good riddance. What a bunch of "bleeping bleeps!"
Dicey situation for a number of reasons, including Indonesian pride. Thanks to whacko mullahs and Al Jazeera, Muslims are paranoid about US motives, and then there's the Muslim well deserved sense of inferiority. It'd probably be easier for them to accept UN help, then they could pretend the US wasn't supplying ninety odd per cent of aid. We should let them stew in their own juice. They'll be able to complain that we didn't rebuild their infrastructure. That should make them happy.
As the article says, "Although most Indonesians have expressed thanks for U.S. help, nationalist politicians in the world's most populous Muslim country have been grumbling about 'American interlopers.'"
Why should we let some self-serving a--holes get in the way of helping people in such desperate need?
Well since we are mobilized in the region, I say we just start our next wave of the war on terror. We will end up with combat troops in Indonesia within 10 years anyway. Why not mop them up while they are reeling? Just an idea...
let's send THIS guy over personally to straighten them all out...
As we continue to force our 'charity' on others--not a function of gub'mint to begin with--we deserve to get it snapped off in our rectums!
They seem to have no idea of right and wrong. They simply do what they are commanded to do and generally that is to do evil, but their conscience is destroyed because they are taught they are doing good.
I don't even want to hear about the good ones because they are good despite Islam. They would probably be great if not for it.
So we should get out and take our aid with us.
what punks...pack up and leave and let's take our billions in aid with us. Let the UN and private relief agencies deal with this mess. We've got bigger issues to tackle.
>Now we know where we should not have sent our personal contributions. I am truly sorry that the Indonesian government hates itself so much that it fears being made to look lesser by accepting aid. The government would look better by having its priorities straight.<
Compared to the megalomaniac keeping the people of Burma (Myanmar, or whatever) from getting any outside aid, Indonesia is at least letting the world give some comfort to its shattered population.
I feel so bad for the people of Burma. The devastation is as great as the rest of the region, but that tinpot dictator refuses to allow them some help.
Nope.
Shake the dust from our feet and get out.
