"Tell me what any of these men had to to with Plymouth, Jamestown, Philadelphia, etc., before 1812. Answer: Zip"
Why on earth do the men that built the industries of this country have to have anything to do with Plymouth etc etc?
"These men built business empires. Their own little kingdoms -- which were not democracies"
Damn right you are.
These men built the industries that made America a world power.
If you mean they were not politicians, then GREAT!
A business is not a political party.
"They amassed fortune and wealth and insulated themselves from their workers with layers of management. "
Hey, when did you leave the meeting of the Karl Marx appreciation society?
They built businesses and had layers of management to help run those business, provided jobs for millions of Americans, improved the standard of living of Americans to make Americans have the world's highest standard of living , plus make America the most powerful country on the entire planet etc etc.
Only a Communist will think that is a crime.
"This is nothing like nation-building"
Nobody mentioned nation building in that post..
You just inserted it to carry out your own agenda
You are blinded by your profit motive and your worship of the Almighty Dollar"
And you are blindfolded by stupidity.
This is America. You work hard, you make enough money to look after your frailly.
If you have a an entrepreneurial bent you build your own business.
Its called the American dream.
"Such as?"
Such as every single p;int you brought up in your post.
How about that?

No, I mentioned it in my first post. Go back and read it for context.
You are the one with the agenda here, and that's plainly obvious.
