Since this will get a lot of Vets, I need to ask a question. a friend of mine died on Christmas eve. he had served in Korea, and VN. It has been really hard because he was not expected to die, and was treated horribly by the hospital and Dr. (Misdiagnosis) I have spent the morning going thru his things, packing and all. I found a leather case and in it he had his SS Card and a few other important things, but what ended my work was a ring. It had his initial, a golden eagle, and on the sides it had 2 bronze leaves and 2 silver. The funeral home said he could be buried at Arlington. I just wonder if anyone can tell me the significance of the ring, since it apparently meant a lot to him.

See if you can get a picture of the ring, and post it to the FR Canteen. You will probably get the most help there.

Does the ring look like any of these?
