One main theme of CBS was that Bush got preferential treatment even to be admitted to the Guard to avoid active duty in Viet Nam.

Did they ever even ask how Kerry got into the Naval Reserve? That's where he enlisted. He went to active duty later. The Navy, itself, was considered fairly safe at the time since North Viet Nam didn't have a navy. I have to think that the Navy Reserve was just as hard to get into as the TANG.

USA Today has been getting a free ride in this Rathergate story.

They also ran with it with 6 memos, not 4, and they know who the source of the forgeries is, since they got them from the same person. They are why CBS was in a race to be first with the forgeries. Put the pressure on them, too, to reveal the source of the forgeries.

They have not only not apologized for using forged documents, but the reporters covering the story, Jim Drinkard and Dave Moniz, like Mary Mapes, have an anti-Bush agenda going back to 2000.

USA Today is clever in laying low on this because they face similar threats of prosecution if the knowingly published forged government documents.

Let's not give CBS all the credit for bias and criminality.

Do we need to snip from Fox News?

Anyway, everyone should go take a look, because Brit also mentions that somebody with the initials S.B. who walked off with classified documents stuffed down his pants and in his socks is going to the grand jury.
