What an amazing story. Not the part about the money being returned, the part about there still being an English speaking cabbie in New York.

A lot of people, especially those who grew up during the depression, pay cash for large items like funerals. What a great story. I wish there were enough info provided to send the cabbie a small donation in recognition of his honesty. Even though he did the 'right thing' a lot of today's population would not react the way he did.
