KABBALAH THE CURE-ALL
New York Post - Page Six ^ | 1/12/05 | Richard Johnson with Paula Froelich and Chris Wilson

Posted on 01/11/2005 10:27:46 PM PST by kattracks

AN undercover BBC reporter who infiltrated a London Kabbalah group witnessed Madonna and Guy Ritchie chanting mystic spells to cleanse Chernobyl, the site in Ukraine of the nuclear disas ter in 1986. Tony Donnelly, who used a hidden camera, claims the Kabbalah dinner turned into "a weird religious service, which started with prayer readings and chanting that culminated in everyone turning to the east, pushing the air with their hands, and crying out 'Cher-er-er-er-nobyl' at the top of their voices. They thought they were curing Chernobyl of radiation, using the power of Kabbalah to drive away the evil." Donnelly, a recovering cancer patient, says he was charged $1,500 for the dinner with Madonna and her husband, some "healing water" and several Aramaic texts — the Zohar — he was unable to read. He was told that just running his hands over the text and drinking the water could cure his cancer. He also had a session with Rabbi Eliyahu Yardeni, who told him, "Just to tell you another thing about the 6 million Jews that were killed in the Holocaust. The question was that the Light was blocked. They didn't use Kabbalah."

I need to find many people like this. And get money from them. It looks pretty easy.

As an orthodox jew allow me to categorically say, what this guy is doing is totally wrong in every way I can think of. It is a "hippy cult", not Judaism.

As soon as the Chernobyl incantations to cleanse the reactor had been finished, there was a puff and release of radiation...

From the article: other believers include Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Demi Moore. Major intellects, all. (Capriole shakes her head at the stupidity evidenced here.) I am quite certain that they're all contemptuous and/or patronizing about those of us out here in red America who believe in Christ or are righteous Jews.

As a Jewish man in rural Montana -- a Bush state -- I never am ceased to be amazed by the Hollywood MORONS!

All that took place was a looting of the wallets of PEOPLE. If Kabbalah really worked there would have been NO HOLOCAUST, NO DACHAU, NO AUSCHWITZ etc.

There were many Orthodox Jews who perished in the Holocaust that were far more experts in Kabbalah than these geniuses. DID IT HELP THEM -- CLEARLY NO

If this song and dance artist might just confess Our Blessed Mother, the actual Madonna, maybe she could be on her way to genuine healing, and real-life salvation. But for crushing pride, she's probably so afraid of having to learn, of having to humble herself, rather than humble others as the condescending lib says, 'they can learn' - or, they're smarter than you think.

Hey, if it keeps Madonna off the streets (and hopefully off the airwaves), it can't be all bad.

Elie Weisel was into Kabbalah. After I read his books, his bitterness, his questioning of G-d, it was pretty clear that his faith was let down.

Personally, as a Christian, I think it's a deceptive cult.

After reading Kabbalah leader's Holocaust 'slur', I too am convinced that Madonna is in a cult.
