I'm no Bloomberg fan but it was just a joke for God's sake.

I saw the clip this morning and enjoyed watching Bloomberg turn crimson after he made the statement.

Apparently Bronx politicians are humorless and easily offended.

Good. Bloomberg is part and parcel of the ideology that made such remarks taboo in the first place.

I love it when these holier-than-thou Liberals get a dose of their own medicine. But I highly doubt anyone will demand that Bloomberg receive the same sentence John Rocker received.

It's a double-standard thing I guess.

Personally, I think it was a valid statement for him to make. Dims like to register the dead and felons, so why not Charley the monkey at the Bronx Zoo. he's probably more informed and has a higher IQ than many Dims.

Hmm when told the animals don't vote he said "It's the Bronx, I'm not sure." This was interpreted as a reference to voting scandals? Maybe, but no one figures the mayor was calling the residents of the Bronx animals?

and guilty, too! I think the remark hit a nerve 'cause it was more true than funny.

Yep, but just imagine Charley the monkey voting Republican because that part of ballot paper was banana scented. I'd even pay for the scent just to observe the scene.

You obviously don't understand. The animals were indignant about being compared to the residents of the Bronx.

It's the first decent thing Bloomberg has said all year--and last year, too.

As a democrat at heart, Bloomingidiot knows full well all about votes by the dead, animals, and other assorted non-entities.

I am particulary amused by how the liberal judges in NY keep bedeviling the city with their liberal decisions that are bankrupting the city.
