Ralliers!
It's our day in the sun (well, maybe our day in front of a large-screen TV)!
The first 200 of you are invited to attend the first John Kerry UN-augural that is to be held in the National Press Club (13th floor) on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The occasion? Celebrating the fact that John Kerry is NOT being inaugurated next week.
Why? To get together and just feel good about the results of our efforts.
How? By recognizing each other and some of the "unsung heroes" of our "Kerry Lied" effort, to include folks from Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for the Truth; Vietnam Vets for the Truth; the media; Operation Street Corner, Viet Nam Veterans against John Kerry; and other entities.
What? A brunch and heavy hors d'oeuvres, chili, and a variety of drinks. Also, a big-screen TV on which we will watch the REAL inaugural parade, which actually can be seen down the street "real-time."
This is going to be a real memory-maker. Come join us in a civilized celebration of what thousands of committed veterans and their supporters can do.
If you're interested in this alternative to the hoity-toity inauguration balls, check out details on www.operationstreetcorner.com and www.kerrylied.com.
Another "matter." My last appeal for "close-down money" fell far short of the $4000.00 we need to pay off all our debts. We ARE down to $3000.00, so we made progress. If you can spare that $25.00, $50.00, or $100.00, please keep us in mind. Please send your check to:
Vietnam Vets for the Truth Box 49 Mt. Vernon, VA 22121
Also, you may use the PayPal button on the left side of our homepage to transfer funds to our bank account.
Many, many thanks for all your support! And do try to join us in Washington on the 20th. It'll be a LOT of fun!
KLR!
Larry
