I'm still hoping the 40G iPod will get down to $300 (or less) some day soon, but in the meantime...
If the iPod shuffle had a slot for a external SD card, then it would truly be a killer product. I just bought an RCA Lyra 1080, which has an FM tuner and is SD expandable. I put in a 1 GB SD card no problem. SD memory cards are pretty cheap now, too.
