Cali cartel leader, brother reportedly offer deal to feds

A Cali cartel leader in detention in Miami and his brother -- who is awaiting extradition to the United States -- are offering federal prosecutors a deal: Leave our relatives alone and we'll plead guilty.

In exchange they are also offering new information they claim to have about unsolved murders in Colombia and corrupt judges, lawyers and government officials.

The offer was published Sunday in the Colombian magazine Semana. The article -- online at www.semana.com.co -- cited a five-page letter sent Dec. 7 to U.S. Attorney Marcos Jiménez in Miami by an attorney for drug lord Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela, who was brought to the United States last month, and his brother Miguel.

Although the brothers, who admit to having trafficked cocaine before 1995, have repeatedly said in the past that they are innocent of the Miami drug charges, the letter allegedly says they are also ''willing to declare themselves guilty . . . and want to voluntarily reach an agreement, accepting without question that they be given the equivalent of a life sentence'' in U.S. jails.

"Oh yea, we trafficed in cocaine before 95, but we don't know nothing about no murders....

Now, just leave our families alone...."

I really wish I knew how to say 'f*** you' in legal parlance. How many familes did these scumbags ruin? How many young people are dead because of the gangs they sponsored?

All of a sudden these pieces of s*** are worried about 'family'?

I have two words for them: F*** you.

These thugs are no better than the gangs that Capone ran in the 1930s, and IMO they should be dealt with just as harshly if not more so.

Don't get me wrong. I think American 'drug' policy is stupid, misguided, and unconstitional, but that doesn't prevent me from hating these Columbian scumbags in the least.

I think we should drag these dirtbags back to US soil by any means necessary, try them, convict them, and then fry their worthless hides on Pay Per View.
