God is also present with those suffering, such as those mourning the loss of 60+ kids living in a World Vision community in Sri Lanka. I'm not sure why some people died and some people lived. I just pray that those who lived can provide the comfort and love (and water, food, shelter, etc.) that these devastated people need right now.

In the Bible it is recorded that Jesus ince referred to the collpase of a tower in Jerusalem, a disaster that killed many people. He did not attempt to explain it, only to point out that these people did not die because of their sins or the sins of their relatives.
