Gibson and Moore have been mentioned together for some two months now. Every time an awards show comes up "The Passion" and "F9/11" are immediately put to the forefront of discussion and talked about like no other movies were produced that year. Media shows and publications constantly compare/contrast them as being polar opposites of the film spectrum. Both films were difficult to get released to the mass public due to studios being too concerned with backlash. Both were released amid huge controversy from critics calling the films anti-semitic or anti-american. Both were insanely successful due to everyone's predictions of flopping. All of these things considered and people are shocked that Gibson would make a statement saying he feels a sort of strange kinship with Moore??

From reading the entire article, even Moore's words, it looks like Gibson and Moore were partaking in some professional courteousy where they did not want to bash each other but did not stray far from their own works messages.

This is still Hollywood, so I ask the question "What type of an ass would go to an awards ceremony and bash someone else winning an award in a different category?" or "What type of an ass of a PR person would let his/her client bash someone else winning an award in a different category?"

These two still want their respective audiences and some other "swing" viewers to come to their movies in the future...
