But, as I stated on another thread, bias is a strange thing. It is very hard to see by those perpetrating it.

Hard to see ... and, evidently, impossible to admit.

Shouldn't the FBI now investigate the creation of these fraudelent documents? Surely federal laws were broken. And was the Kerry campaign involved in the creation or distribution of these memos?

"...almost a complete confession of wrongdoing."

AND that's only CBS ... did you see Chris Cox expressing interest in a Congressional investigation about who created the fraudulent documents and their intention of affecting a federal election?

The fun just never stops .. AND next Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 12:00 noon, Eastern time, George Walker Bush will be inaugurated as President of the United States !!!!!!!!!!

I'm actually bordering on impressed with the CBS panel. 4 firings, an admission that they screwed the pooch on the story from jump street. It's almost a complete confession of wrongdoing.

It's more impressive than most of the reports that come out of Washington. How many people were fired over Waco? Ruby Ridge? 9/11?

......and Mapes desperate for anything to get her the story after 4 years of hard work....

I'm still waiting to see some evidence of that hard work. Where are all the sources? Burkett is and always has been a loon. So where are the real sources?

Too bad their footnote reference of the actual post is incorrect. Even with the www placed in the one they give, it still doesn't work so I'm not sure which article they are trying to reference, but I think it is one with this post number - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1210662/posts which will take you there if you click here.

Ya but, it's a lot less weird and far more flattering than the "pajamahadeen" moniker some dolts are using.

And while I am sure bias had a part in some

There was no bias. Everyone hates Bush, don't they ?

Anybody who thinks it is a whitewash is just wrong.

It looks that way to us, but to anybody at CBS, this is really bad.

Bingo! HEre on FR, most aren't satisfied until our opponents do the perp walk to the local jail. In actuality, I believe this report to be a MAJOR B*TCH SLAPPING of CBS. I would even say that this is devastating, thus their reaction. 4 firings are NOT TRIVIAL. They are in extreme damage control...

it credits Free Republic (accurately)

I'll bet they waited until after the Freepathon to give us the exposure.

Prophetically, in post 69 of the same thread, TheGeezer writes to Buckhead on September 9:

"You may have been instrumental in bringing down MSM organs NYT, The Globe, and even CBS (and particularly Dan Blather) by noticing the proportional spacing in the memo. If it is indeed a forgery (and with the superscript "th" adjacent to "187" in the first paragraph, I think it a certainty), may I offer my heartfelt congratulations to you? America Thanks you."

I have a wonderful picture of my uncle, Eugene Knutsen, in a viking outfit getting a pair of beaded mocs from Princess Rosebud, Sitting Bull's granddaughter (I think). He was first mate on a ship that went down during the second world war. It is such a great picture.

"Hard to see ... and, evidently, impossible to admit."

LOL, touche. These guys spent all the time, when there were *real* crimes occuring in the White House, explaining why those scandals were excusable or political witch hunts.

Lying before a criminal grand jury is a crime is a crime is a crime. They never showed any error by Judge Starr, yet they spent gobs of time calling him biased and trying to destroy him personally.

(pedantic point: I'd have edited previous poster's comment to read not so much "hard to see" as "hard to prove")
