Mommy! Mommy! Theyre talking about me on national TV!!
Thats great, Honey.
Not really. Theyre using me as an example of a total loser.
While it may not be quite that bad for Michael Moore, the dissing he received last night on the premiere episode of Foxs hit show 24 is probably not the kind of publicity he was seeking.
During Sunday nights season opener, Department of Defense Secretary James Heller (William Devane) wanted to convince his son Richard not to take part in a protest rally that might embarrass the President. Despite his fathers plea, Richard insisted on participating in the anti-weapons rally. After Richard told his father why he believed in his cause, the Secretary responded, Spare me your 6th grade Michael Moore logic!
Ouch.
Moores supporters may try and laugh it off by pointing out that 24 is just a fictional television show, but that brings up an interesting comparison: at least the producers of 24 admit that their work is fiction.
Hehe.
I love that show and a laughed my ass off when Devane said it.
I laughed out loud when I heard that. 24 is brilliant.
oooo, I just might watch this season.
I really hope tubbies 15 minutes are over soon.
Could it be...that Fox is doing the absolute Ultimate Taboo in TV Entertainment?
Are they producing a show whose storyline has a slightly rightward tilt?
Is that allowed under the First Amendment?
It was so good I changed my tagline.
Yup...was truly funny. I also love the sound of CAIR whining that the 24's terrorists might actuall *gasp* be Middle Eastern...
Between that and having his fat arsed puppet go booooom, it's a start.
I did the same thing, I love 24. Then I thought I hope mention of this will turn up here, as usual FR never lets me down.
End world hunger and the destruction of our environment through methane pollution. Get rid of Michael Moore.
Bump a most excellent show with a most excellent snipe at a juvenile fat guy.
Not only does it have a rightward tilt, my wife and I noticed that twice during the 24 broadcast, ads promoting patriotism and freedom were run. One was by Fox itself(using Hank Hill), and another was a very long one showing bits of interviews with people who had escaped oppresive regimes - Nazi Germany, Cuba, etc. That one was run by the Ad Council, by ReclaimFreedom.org.
I saw that and could not help but elbow my liberal Democrat girlfriend in the ribs when it was said.
it was brilliant of Fox local channels to show that after the NFL playoff game... I stayed tuned and even marked my calendar for tonight to watch .... I haven't seen anything except sports on a network in years!
Any show that disses Michael Moore AND Arabs is going to be a must-watch for me!
Us, too! That has to be one of the best TV moments. I don't know if they will continue this same intensity, but it was priceless.
Sounds to me like this show is going to take a lot of heat this season. I mean, they actually have the audacity to have the terrorists be Middle-Eastern, how dare they?
I haven't watched since season 1, I was p!ssed at how the first season ended, but you can bet I will be watching this time around. Already have it recorded and ready to watch. When my husband got wind of the ME terrorist thing, we thought that if they had you-know-whats that big, we're watching.
Amen - brother. MM is a typical liberal with the votes
assured in these type of things....they sure as hell
wouldn't vote for the Passion....that is one of the
reasons, they worked overtime to defeat President Bush,
he is for everything they are against...I would like
to see the President to include in his weekly radio
addresses...a movie a week that is against the basic
morality of the country. It sure would be a guideline
for parents ....Jake
Ping.
