Jim Rob, could you please raise the number of pings to 100?

While you have Robinsons ear, could you see if we could reduce the number of self appointed police here. (snicker)

I'll help you with that if you'll work on the people who think that the forum rules don't apply to them, and call other posters "nazis" or "self-appointed police" for reminding them of the rules.

I agree. That 20 on the page is about to drive me nuts! (I have mine set for 250). It never seemed to be a problem before the new servers were added. I use that a lot to try and find things, too, and it is really hard when you have to scroll through 40 or 50 pages.

You might get a better response if you pinged Jim to the thread. I've scrolled through the whole thing and haven't seen his name. Word has it that he doesn't actually sit on FR 24/7 and read every thread, despite rumors to the contrary. ;-)

I have my pings set for 250 but FR has limited it to 20. It's aggravating.

Have been wondering and feeling the same thing.

I thought we got some extra servers online.

I actually prefer 250 pings! But anything more than 20 would be a blessing.

And, while I'm at it . . .

DREAM/WISH LIST:

1) number of views conveniently available on a clickable list of all one's personally originated threads.

2) mailboxes to sort FREEPMAILS into for pending deletion, mid-term save; long term save; favorite topics . . . .

Seems like there were another 2-3 ideas which are beyond my recall at the moment . . .

THANKS TONS JOHN, FOR ALL YOU DO.

Ask to be removed! I've never had a problem with anyone refusing to remove.

Course, I just scroll on by if I'm not interested even if I'm on a ping list.

I would love to be able to look at (sort) my recieved Freep-mails by individual Freeper. There are some I would like to look at again. This function is gone now.

The limit to 20 would be a signficant bother and time hassle for those of us who maintain pint lists of 50-100 or more of people WHO HAVE CHOSEN to be/asked to be left on, put on a ping list of their personal interest.

I don't think such should be penalized.

STRONGLY AGREE.

Which reminds me of another wish-list item.

A search function that we could pair a poster's screen name with a title or a keyword and/or a time frame.

I have never felt the necessity or desire to remind anyone about posting procedures. Scanning what is of interest is my only reason for being here. Robinson is in charge, it is his domain, he can throw out anyone that transgresses.
