The prosecution of a woman who cared for cats!
Iran Press News
The Islamic regime's judiciary, in an exceedingly inhumane and appalling attempt which is indicative of unprecedented extents of intrusion in the private lives of the Iranian people, has prosecuted a Tehrani woman whom they have charged with caring for cats! The helpless woman has been charged with keeping six cats in her one bedroom apartment; the judge interogated her for the "comings and goings" of the cats and later in the context of the prosecution, ferociously questioned the woman's elderly father as well.
This case was tried in the second circuit court of Tehran's district 19; the proceedings were broadcast on the Islamic regime's television in order to make an example of this innocent woman and further intimidate the people of Iran.
In the end of this prosecution, the medieval Islamic regime's inquisitor indicted the woman for mental illness and ordered her to be institutionalized in an asylum. The Razi mental asylum is reputed to be extraordinarily unsanitary and it is a know fact that indeed mentally stable people are committed, as punishment to this facility in order to mentally destabilize them!

The Islamic regime's judiciary, (reminiscent of the Soviet KGB trials of dissidents), in an exceedingly inhumane and appalling attempt which is indicative of unprecedented extents of intrusion in the private lives of the Iranian people, has prosecuted a Tehrani woman whom they have charged with caring for cats! Not long ago, the regime made it illegal to own small dogs! Or to walk dogs in public!!
Also shades of the Stockholm Syndrome of hostages bonding with their captors. Presently, the clerical regime has abused and terrorized the whole nation to a point where the people have become inured and appear to no longer "feel pain". Cruelty to them and animals has become an on-going, constant part of their lives.
After the Khomeini revolution in 1979, the clerics made resistance almost impossible by making food scarce, rationing it and keeping the populace waiting in long lines to use their ration cards to get half a chicken. An all day endeavor involving many family members since rice or sugar or other necessities were offered at different locations and required attending several, different all day lines.
As was evidenced in World War II, captives who were regularly beaten and abused often ended up "loving" their captors and receiving pleasure from the beatings and pain. A fact, once discovered by the Germans, quickly reduced abuse frequency to allow for the captive to return to "normal" reaction to pain instead of euphoria the body creates similar to that of game animals caught by predators. Not a masochistic reaction but Nature protecting its own.
Deer caught by a lion appear to feel no pain or have fear after initial moments of distress as Nature quickly sends them into shock and offers a more or less painless death as a palliative for the inevitable.
The Iranian people, except those who inflict it, seem to have largely reached that "protective" mental state against the regime's cruelty. But the regime should beware of what it does and heed what happened in Romania to Ceausescu and his tyrannical regime.
A key "final straw" for his overthrow was an edict forbidding dogs!
