This was just too funny. One of Mrs. DFU's favorite shows is CSI. I don't watch TV, but a re-run from 2001 was on in the background while I was putting up wallpaper. I heard the following and started laughing like h*ell in disbelief.

The character Grissom says --

"Well, this is a phony as a chappaquiddick neck brace. See how the clothes are all bunched?"

Brief Synopsis
An amorous couple's desires are deflated when the hotel elevator opens up to reveal a nearly dead real estate mogul on the floor, who later dies of apparently natural causes. However, the CSI figure he was poisoned and must check organ donors and delve into an old shooting case to solve the mystery.

Chappaquiddick. Grissom commented that the photos of a re-dressed Bob Fairmont in the elvator were as fake as "Chappaquiddick neck brace." For those too young to remember, Chappaquidick will unfortunately go down in the annals of history as where, on July 18, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne drowned after a car went off a narrow bridge. The driver of that car was none other that U.S. senator Edward Kennedy, whose political aspirations for presidency were destroyed after this mishap, in which Mary Jo was determined to have also been pregnant. But anyway, Chappaquiddick is a small rural island that can be accessed from Edgarton, Massachusetts, by a short ferry ride. It's called "Chappy" by the locals.

I wouldn't start applauding just yet-

I have this feeling their going to legitimize some of the terrorist's issues with America when they put SOD on trial. I don't see the producers bringing the Koran into this either. There was no reference to allah in the first episode; appears they are going to make this political, not religious in nature.

It is also pretty clear to me that the hero is going to be a Muslim who fights to save innocent Americans (which actually would be a good thing to display).

But I have a gut feeling the the SOD is gonna turnout to be evil (just like Hollywood thinking about Rumsfeld).....IMHO

"24" is a Conservative show, even when they had a Democrat as president (Dennis Haysbert) it leaned to the right. Now they have a Republican president (don't know the actor's name), but he might turn out to be a RINO.

This isn't the first time "24" has fought Islamic terrorists. They were the bad guys in season 2 and they were dealt with in very politically incorrect ways. (At one point, Jack Bauer and a team of agents stormed a mosque during prayer, captured a suspect and then tortured him relentlessly right there in the mosque--LOL!
