BWAHAHAHAHA: TV re-run of CSI: "...phony as a Chappaquiddick neckbrace"

This was just too funny. One of Mrs. DFU's favorite shows is CSI. I don't watch TV, but a re-run from 2001 was on in the background while I was putting up wallpaper. I heard the following and started laughing like h*ell in disbelief.

The character Grissom says --

"Well, this is a phony as a chappaquiddick neck brace. See how the clothes are all bunched?"

Organ Grinder
Season 2
Episode #033

Air Date - December 13, 2001
Written by Ann Donahue, Elizabeth Devine
Directed by Allison Liddi

Brief Synopsis
An amorous couple's desires are deflated when the hotel elevator opens up to reveal a nearly dead real estate mogul on the floor, who later dies of apparently natural causes. However, the CSI figure he was poisoned and must check organ donors and delve into an old shooting case to solve the mystery.

Chappaquiddick. Grissom commented that the photos of a re-dressed Bob Fairmont in the elvator were as fake as "Chappaquiddick neck brace." For those too young to remember, Chappaquidick will unfortunately go down in the annals of history as where, on July 18, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne drowned after a car went off a narrow bridge. The driver of that car was none other that U.S. senator Edward Kennedy, whose political aspirations for presidency were destroyed after this mishap, in which Mary Jo was determined to have also been pregnant. But anyway, Chappaquiddick is a small rural island that can be accessed from Edgarton, Massachusetts, by a short ferry ride. It's called "Chappy" by the locals.

They found Mary Jo in the backseat of the car with her face pressed to the floorboards; her lips were pulled back, frozen in a snarl as she gasped her last breaths. Nice. If Kennedy were any kind of man (and not concerned with covering his own ass) then he could've freed Mary Jo himself. The car wasn't fully submerged. The whole rear-end was sticking out of the water.

The line made my day. I can't remember a similar from-anywhere-but-the-left comment on TV in a long time.

That's right, he put on a phony neck brace afterwards to get sympathy... so HE could play the victim. It would be funny if it weren't real.

Maybe someone should make a TV show, "Desperate Kennedies"

""""No statute of limitations on murder!!"""

Last line in the show, tonight (I think).

Could someone have been sending someone else a message via the show?

No statute of limitations on murder!!

You are right. He can be tried at any time. Maybe we should write to A/G Gonzalez.

There was also a good one on the season's first episode of 24 which aired Sunday evening. My son and I both laughed hysterically when the Secretary of Defense is listening to a bunch of liberal clap trap from his freaked out hippy son when he yells at him something like "When are you going to forget all that sixth grade Michael Moore garbage?" If someone has the exact quote I'd appreciate it.

"24" rocks!!! The plot this time (at least revealed so far) is that Secretary of Defense Heller, played by William Devane (with a nod to Rumsfeld) is kidnapped by islamic terrorists in California.

Before the kidnapping, Heller visits his estranged son (a greasy-haired dope-smoking DUmmie--LOL!) and tries to convince the boy not to attend a "peace rally" today because it will embarrass both the SecDef and the president.

The boy is arrogant and smug and lights up a joint while he pontificates about the evils of the American war machine.

His father interrupts him: "Oh spare me your sixth grade Michael Moore logic!"

YES!!!

Later, after the violent kidnapping, which happens right outside the boy's home, the police find him huddled in a corner, sniveling and crying.

And when the boy is hauled into CTU for questioning (he's the only surviving witness to the kidnapping), the brat screams: "Don't you know who my dad is!? He's the Secretary of Defense! You can't treat me like this!"

Wooooweeee!

Could Conservatism be spreading in Hollywood?

I like Coulters take on Kennedy.

Where he emerges from Boston Harbor with a bottle of scotch and a pair of pantyhose hanging out of his pocket.

will unfortunately go down in the annals of history as where

The US Senate should have done something about that fraud at that time as well.

The Senate history should note that Senate's omission on not taking care of someone that brought disgrace on the Senate.

With all the slams that TV has on the political right, this was really refreshing.

You should have seen the premiere of '24' on Fox tonight...

William Devane plays the Secretary of Defense under the new Republican president on the show. He was trying to dissuade his liberal protester son not to speak at an anti-military demonstration at a Lockheed plant. His son started rambling on about how the U.S. military is making the world dangerous...

Devane's character said the following, after slapping a joint from his liberal son's mouth:

"Spare me your 6th grade Michael Moore logic. We don't live in a utopia. We have real enemies! We serve our country, we stand for freedom, what do you do?"

What a blessing it would be to see Lardass draped in a large orange camping tent (a regular jump suit would not be big enough) doing the stockade shuffle around the exercise yard. We can only hope!!!

"Network says it was mutual and her publicist says it wasn't."

I don't know why they'd get rid of her. I haven't seen the show without her, but I'd be very surprised to find it improved by her absense.

Inquest Exhibit #14 - Sketch of Mary Jo Kopechne's position in accident car prepared under the direction of scuba-diver John Farrar. *Note: Original Water Level refers to pocket of air trapped in car.

===========================================================

Sometimes people die in accidents no matter how much rescuers or doctors work to save them. In this case, there was no reason whatsover that this young woman should have died. Kennedy should have been convicted of a minimum of voluntary manslaughter and spent several years in prison. He spent nine hours covering up his involvement. What a piece of human debris.

Can anyone tell me if President Bush really addressed Ted Kennedy as "Chappy"?

I've heard this but don't know if it's true.

Pinging the song list. Dutchess, can you believe this one comes all the way back from the impeachment days of 1998?

MIDI - BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS - scroll down to the MIDI and cut and either click on it or cut and paste it into your player of choice

When a bimbo can…bring you down
Pull off a Kennedy
Perhaps she could drown
Perhaps she could drown

It worked for me…yes, a long time ago
So Bill I'm telling you
There's a bridge over Martha's Vineyard
You could take her there
There's a bridge over Martha's Vineyard
You could take her there

No young woman should…threaten you
If she is talking, well
She's got to go down
She's got to go down

It's not that hard…no, not that hard at all
You just slam on the brakes
And then slide through that little railing
She will gurgle soon
You just slide through that little railing
She will gurgle soon

If she had pressured you…for a job
And Vernon said to you…he cannot do it again
Oh, no not again
The problem's big...but not unsol-ol-vable
I'll tell you what to do
There's a bridge over Martha's Vineyard
You should take her there
There's a bridge over Martha's Vineyard
You should take her there
