This is even worse than it seems because it is reflective of the culture in which ANY african-american child who tries to study and do well in school is accused of "acting white." Logic and Reason are tools of the oppressor.

Thanks for being sensible. I totally agree with you. What is to keep them from suing the Republican Party now for not voting for the hate crime legislation, affirmative action, etc. I didn't hear this Rev say anything about J.Jackson blackmailing white owned businesses.
You do not hear about Blacks wanting to be sent to Africa, condemn Africans for selling their ancestors, or being thankful for our great grandfathers giving their lives to free them, for all the advantages the white have given them (affirmative action, racial preference, hate crime legislation, welfare, etc) during the past 40-50 years.
I don't necessarily agree with reparations, but...

No, but how about all the broken treaties and promises made over the centuries, the governmental policies of genocide, eugenics, "boarding schools" etc... which were outright atempts to destroy an entire people?
What of the billions given them over the years and their lack of progress into the modern world.
I think you should rephrase that to "What about the billions stolen from them by mismanagement at the BIA". If you have no clue what money I am referring to, look it up and know what you are speaking of...

Propping up? Propping up? If by "propping up" you mean "put on worthless land, with very little economic uses, so they can starve quietly and we don't have to see them" then yeah, we've been "propped up".

I'm from Vermont. We never had slavery. Vermonters worked and fought and died opposing it. Of course, my family did not live in Vermont at the time having come over in the 19th Century. I think we Vermonters should get some reparations too. Why let history and facts stand in the way.
