Let the hospitals bill the state of New Jersey for reimbursement, and if the state refuses to pay then shut the hospitals down. If the majority of people in New Jersey don't want to ban illegal immigrants from their state then let them pay higher taxes to care for them.

New Jersey has nothing to do with this. The democrats in Congress passed the EMTALA laws mandating all hospitals and doctors to provide free care for the invaders, oops I meant "immigrants." With not one cent of funding for all this "free" care.

That's right, and with no one to bill the hospitals are suppose to carry the cost alone. Liberal politicians never worry about where the money comes from when they pass Utopian bills.

But, suppose the hospitals billed the state, and the state refused to pay because it's a federal mandate? The hospitals would have no recourse but to close their doors just as any corporation would do.

If hospitals started closing up, politicians would go into their CYA mode, and the state would quickly come up with enough money to keep them open through larger taxes on the people of the state - in this case New Jersey.
