My wife said she heard that Mel thanked Moore, and...questioned "why are we in Iraq"?.

She said the news media is all over it here in Texas. Anybody hear this?

My wife said she heard that Mel thanked Moore, and...questioned "why are we in Iraq"?.

It didn't happen during his acceptance speech, not at least on camera. Mel didn't mention Iraq, or anything political at all. Not sure where she heard that.

Only mentioned that he felt honored about this award, having "circumvented" the system, lol!
