(I won't even stain this thread with the name of the mockumentary)
Anyway, I must hand it to the folks who put on this show. They left the best for last. Instead of having his award mushed in the middle of "best crest smile award" and "best reality TV" award, they cut to a commercial, and had the Best Movie Drama award at the very end.
Mel got a huge ovation. I think he was really touched, especially when he said "when you have to circumvent the system" to get an award like this, "this means more to me" than any of the rest.
He ended it with "God Bless" and off he went off the stage.
Good job Mel. The people have indeed spoke.
I went to bed when Martin Sheen got up there to present the award for favorite film. I left when he said something to the effect that, "...it's great to live in an democracy, even if its only on tv."
I love the way these hypocrites, who make millions in this capitalistic, republic, but then continue to bite the hand that gives them a wonderful living.
I am sure he gushed all over Michael Moore.
