Rosen reported the Hollywood concert and dinner, cost $400,000, although he was aware that the price was well more than $1 million, the indictment states.

Please explain the motive for under-reporting the cost of this event? How would Hillary's campaign benefit?

Much of the event was donations/underwritten by a few people as I understand it... Thus reporting actual cost would have far exceeded FEC rules regarding campaign contributions.....

Esentially, Hillary's campaign was given gifts whcih they failed to report. All contributions are supposed to be reported - cash, gifts, freebies, etc.

Failure to report such contributions is a violation of campaign finance laws...
