I'm as laissez-faire as they come, but consumers should have a right to know what the composition is of what you are paying for and putting in your body. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are.

You certainly have the right to ask, and to take your business elsewhere if not satisfied with the response. But do you have the right to use the government to force business owners to conduct THEIR business as YOU see fit? Hell no, in my opinion.

Why is this so hard for "conservatives" to grasp? I guess if it's your pet issue, be it weight loss or "discrimination," centralized planning is just peachy.

That is the same argument that Liberals make against Michael Powell and the FCC's crackdown on indecency..."if you don't like what's on, change the channel"

It's a bad argument then, and it's a bad argument in this case. Bottom line is, if I'm paying someone for a product that's going inside my body, I have the right to know the contents.
