I'm glad the AP has all those numbers for the world in living detail. And of course, also good that they broke it down to what was being stationed and where.
I feel safe.

It's kinda funny. There are people here who believe that the F-22 Raptor isn't going to be a apart of our inventory. I wonder how many squadrons of Raptors we have to have before they concede that the F-22 is going to replace the F-15 as the world's top gun, premier fighter. Not just as a concept, but squadrons of them. Yee haw!

5 new F/A-22 Raptors land at base What a relief. Can you imagine the s+++storm if somebody left them up in the air?

Why is a general being trained to fly this plane, besides ego gratification?
To: iso
Gee. All they needed to do now is report how the planes were stationed on the deck, and who maintains them, and where who maintains them lives.

Not long after he got home from WWII, my Father went to work at Tyndall. He had worked at the shipyard in PC before he was drafted.
I used to go down to the flightline and watch the P-51's and later F-80's take off and land. He got layed off around 1954 as did a large number of civilian employees. Daddy always hated Eisenhower after that.
A few years later he got back on at Eglin and stayed there until he retired. Eglin was an even better base for a kid to visit. I spent many nights roaming around the King Hangar, (Daddy knew all the AP's).

I live in the flight path for Langley AFB. I hear the F22 is bit louder. Can't wait to see them flying around here. We always have interesting aircraft over the house, it was one of the selling points for me.

Five more F/A-22 Raptors landed Friday at this Florida Panhandle base where Gen. John P. Jumper, Air Force chief of staff, is among the first pilots being trained to fly the new stealth fighter.
I hope when the new rifles for the Army start being issued (the ones currently being tested), that the Army chief of staff is among the first to qualify with them ;-)

The design is 15 years old and already obsolete !!
While new electronics take 9 months to hit the market, cost less and have a lifespan of 6 months !!
What a ripoff !!

General Johnny Jumper?
I'll bet you anything that guy is as tough as nails, because there was only two outcomes for a man named Johnny Jumper: wearing a dress or calouses on his knuckles.
The first act of ritual child abuse starts with the names these parents give their kids. Apple Roberts anyone?
