Hasn't Bill Sammon confirmed several times on FNC that the UN guy said the United States specifically? I think you are misinformed when you say that the girly man from the UN was mis-quoted.

Egeland was referring to rich countries in general and did not mention the US specifically as being "stingy." The only time he mentioned the US at all was in suggesting that people in rich countries want to "give more" public developmental aid. But he also cited the EU and his home country Norway in that connection. And he wasn't talking about the response to the tsunami as been falsely claimed.
