When "a drunk" comes to the realization that he's destroying himself, he might be happy that all those people and their organizations, set up to help him, exist -- even though building them might be a "waste of time."

i didn't say treatment centers and support programs are a waste of time...i said trying to get a drunk into treatment before they are ready is a waste of time. You can talk to them until you're blue-in-the-face, but until they come to the realization, on their own, that they need help, it does no good. And it's much the same with gays. They just aren't going to hear what you're saying, or they'll twist it to suit their cause.

Except that society has ridiculed those who WOULD offer to help homosexuals change/cope. Instead we are being told through such "sexual identity" conditioning that "it's alright" and such an "alternative" lifestyle should be presented to small children as normal and even encouraged if they are so inclined.
