Schools don't put forth the "against" side of homosexuality, they only push the "for" side.

Possibly because a lot(no not all, but enough to make it "touchy") of the "against" side is based in religion, and schools are now afraid to go there?
There is a whole lot more to tackle before we get to sexual fetishes.

my daughter's school has a pretty tough "anti-bullying" program in place, and they monitor it very strictly. They are also a part of the "Character Counts" program, which acknowledges students for upstanding behavior. So there is atleast some attempt being made.

No bullying is a pretty clear concept.

When instructors say "don't bully them just because they are...", a social agenda is being advanced outside of "no bullying".

As I say, in schools and in public Republicans and their kids were targeted for violence and harassment (swastikas, vandalism, etc.) yet no course syllabus includes political ideology as something to respect or even tolerate.
