I found this interesting. The site gives a complex chart ranking nations by the level of business/government corruption, as percieved by those who deal with them. 10 is the best score (least corrupt), Zero is the worst. The USA, with a score of 7.5, ranks at #17 - tied with Belgium and Ireland.

There is some very heavy statistics and footnoting at this site, and I did not read it in depth; but I thought folks here might find it interesting. Some results certainly surprised me, some only reinforced my already formed perceptions.

I wonder what the scores of certain individual states would be on this list....

New Jersey
Louisiana
Illinois
