Thanks. That is so strange about sounds going mute. I bet you don't tell that story often. I have my own ghost story and it must be like the alien abductees, you just keep it to yourself. Plus, I always felt talking about it might make it repeat.

Interesting they went through the door when they could have taken a short cut and went through the wall just as well. They may have been used to the house. I used to work in a huge jail (not Abu Grahab my friend, not Abu Grahab) and they were moving out huge equipment and had to remove the walls from my area. So I ended up in this big area without walls. Yet strangely the officers were somehow compelled to use the door which was no longer there. They and I could have just walked to and fro from any direction but you just found yourself using the "door" even though it meant extra walking. It was funny watching people practically thunking themselves on the head and have a V8 moment when they realized what they had done. Maybe the ghost children just knew that was the way to come and go.

Wow. I didn't think of that. I also saw a post earlier from someone who presented the theory that apperition sightings are the work of Satan. The poster mentioned that our soul eithe ascends to heaven or decends to hell and does not stay here. Then there is the Catholic idea of Purgatory. Where that is, and if a "soul" has access to this world from it is a question. And as for telling the story often, I don't tell people unless they are open to it. I know what I saw, whether it was a trick of the devil, some waking dream, or whatever is irrelevant. I know it was there and don't really care what others think. BTW, I have had other paranormal experiences that are just as contraversial and scary as that one.
