wasn't she the one a couple of years ago that said:
the word "republican" is between "reptile" and "repulsive" in the dictionary?
now, wasn't that a bit of leftwing brilliance?
why do people go see movies with people like her that denigrate american culture?

Hey, like everyone knows, what's good for these rich holier than thou liberals, is not good for everyone else!
To: Mears
Newsmax has an article about this which I believe says that the property is 80 acres, and that local realtors said the land could be worth $100,000 per acre.

Funniest line I've heard about Julia Roberts (or just about anything else) during the last month is when a blogger said he hoped the twins didn't have mouths that looked like sea cucumbers. I apologize now for not giving credit, where credit is due, for this most thoughtful and kind remark.

i never was a big tv viewer, nor movie goer.
i threw my tv in the dumpster in 1994 when i saw how abccbscnnnbc were protecting the clintons.
many people in this country have better "relationships" with their idols on tv than with their own families!

I'd plant plenty of poison ivy, kudzu, and install a dozen families of poisonous cobras along with coyotes and skunks there before turning over the keys to the property. But then, it's not me selling it! Shucks!

If I remember correctly (correct me if I am wrong) in the 1700's, real estate taxes were based upon the number of hectares owned. I don't think so. Hectares is a metric measurement. The metric system was devoloped in France during the French Revolution which was at the end of the eighteenth century.

A (an?) hectare is 100 m x 100 m, which is about 2.47 acres.

I stand corrected. Thanks for your clarification.
I think the standard was maybe 40 square acres was part of the calculus for settlers acquiring land from the Federal gov't, and with that, came the responsibility for the real estate tax which was to support the local school house.

The other strange thing is the names of her children. Are they boys, girls or one of each?I can't tell by just their names. If my mother ever gave me a name like that I would think she didn't like me very much.
