I'll give you very good odds that even if your large corporate web server is running IIS, what's running the back end is *NIX if it's a large, critical application -- especially if it's a bank or brokerage.

Suffice it is to say that increasingly big banks like the British Abbey National and big arilnes like Jetblue, are running most or an increasing # of their back end operations on Microsoft Windows 2003 Datacentre edition, on the SUPERB Unisys ES700's.
