Maybe embattled City Councilman Allan Jennings is wasting his time as a legislator — a local TV reporter says he should be hurling for the Mets.

As seen in these dramatic shots of a bizarre incident, the Queens Democrat recently had a powerful way of saying "no comment" to veteran Fox 5 reporter John Deutzman — he fired a piece of metal at the newsman and drilled him right in the back.

"It was a fastball," Deutzman told The Post. "He's a good shot. He hit me right in the back. I felt it for a couple of days."

When he's not terrorizing reporters, Jennings (D-Queens) is being probed by the City Council for making lewd comments to a female council lawyer, and accusations from staffers of sexual misconduct, provoking a hostile work environment and improperly terminating an employee.
