Mexico is a non-aligned country which really means they are not our friend but won't openly ally with one of our enemies for fear of pissing us off.
Mexico is friends with Cuba.
Mexico is friends with Communist China and is building port facilities with the PRC that can also be used to support PRC warships.
Was friends with the USSR.
Was friendly with Nazi Germany in WW2.
Was friendly with Imperial Germany in WW1.
Was friendly with the CSA during the US Civil War.
Why the Bush Administration cozies up to these criminals in Mexico City eludes me.
Frankly, what we really need to see in Mexico City is US troops. That or an ArcLight raid and a subsequent militarization of the border.
