I'm trying to remember the title of that book a few years back that predicted mass death over decades for millions of people. Well, like the killer bees a hideous plague of variantCJD might be just around the corner...
That said, I do think the practice of adding ground up cattle to cattle feed is an inexcusably bad idea. Has that practice in fact been stopped? Prions do have terrifying potential, being as they are all but indestructible and theoretically can easily make the species jump.
