If this is true, the guilty maggot is probably one of Jake Reno's perfumed pink panty wearing maggots. It should be exposed, fired by Justice and then sued by the wrongfully imprisoned Christians. The maggot is probably a card carrying ACLU maggot activist.

Report Says Homosexual DOJ Lawyers Complicit in Arrest of Christians
http://www.theconservativevoice.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1818 ^

Posted on 01/07/2005 7:06:53 AM PST by jasoncann

A source from the U.S. Justice Department reported to WorldNetDaily that homosexual attorneys from the U.S. Justice Department Civil Rights Division attended a homosexual event called “OutFest” in Philadelphia last October and advised police who arrested 11 Christians at the event.

After a judge saw video footage of four of the Christians quoting Bible verses, they were bound over for trial and now face up to 47 years in prison. They were charged with three felony (criminal conspiracy, ethnic intimidation, and riot) and five misdemeanor charges, and the city of Philadelphia labeled the Bible as hate speech.

According to the WorldNetDaily report, the DOJ attorneys may have recommended to police that the Christians be charged with “ethnic intimidation” under Pennsylvania’s new “hate crimes” law. The DOJ employee who spoke to WorldNetDaily on condition of anonymity says that, due to the homosexual U.S. attorneys’ involvement, it is unlikely the DOJ will take up the cause of those now facing criminal charges.

Brian Fahling, senior trial attorney for the AFA Center for Law & Policy, defends the arrested Christians and says the report of DOJ attorneys’

involvement on the scene should trouble all who are following the case.

“This case is historic for all the wrong reasons, and now it turns out that Department of Justice attorneys attended ‘Outfest’ and may have advised the city on what charges to bring,” Fahling said. “ I am stunned.”

“It has been made abundantly clear that my clients will never get justice from Philadelphia, and now it looks like they won't get it out of Washington, D.C. either. This is not an erosion of our rights under the Constitution, it is an earthquake that has swallowed them whole.”

Fahling is asking the DOJ to open a criminal probe into the case.

“I believe the only way to overcome that possible bias is to get a public outcry on such a scale that it cannot be ignored by those higher up in the Department,” Fahling said.

"After viewing a videotape of the incident at the December 14 hearing, Municipal Court Judge William Austin Meehan dropped charges"

I'm sorry - but are they re-writting history again? This judge viewd the tapes back in December and FORMALIZED (accepted the homosexual DA's lies))the charges at that time!

This judge figured out that his life was probably worth more than the homosexual da/s love.

These so called HATE CRIME LAWS are a suppression of our Constitutional Rights for Freedom of Speech. They need to be repealed.

"The Justice Department needs to step in and investigate this civil rights violation by the city of Philadelphia.”

Yes the Justice Dept most certainly does, so are they going to be made to do just that? Philly needs to be accountable, especially the police and the DA.

There is not such thing as a "hate crime". It is liberal totalitarianism at it's worst.

"The Justice Department needs to step in and investigate this civil rights violation by the city of Philadelphia.”

AND the DoJ needs to suspend or fire the homsexual DoJ attorneys if it is proven that--as alleged--they pushed the police and D.A. to jail and prosecute the protesters under a nefarious "hate crimes" interpretation.

I have received 4 of these in emails

PENNSYLVANIA CHRISTIANS FACE 47 YEARS IN PRISON FOR READING THE BIBLE IN PUBLIC
What we have been saying has now happened. You cannot quote what the
Bible has to say about homosexuality in public or you will be charged
with a "hate crime." Philadelphia is only the beginning. If we fail to
take a stand here, this "crime" will soon be applied across America.

In the 27 years of this ministry, I have never witnessed a more
outrageous miscarriage of justice than what is happening in
Philadelphia. Four Christians are facing up to 47-years in prison and
$90,000 in fines for preaching the Gospel on a public sidewalk, a
right fully protected by the First Amendment.

On October 10, 2004, the four Christians were arrested in
Philadelphia. They are part of "Repent America." Along with founder
Michael Marcavage, members of Repent America—with police
approval--were preaching near "Outfest", a homosexual event, handing
out Gospel literature and carrying banners with Biblical messages.

When they tried to speak, they were surrounded by a group of radical
homosexual activists dubbed the Pink Angels. A videotape of the
incident shows the "Pink Angels" interfering with the Christians’
movement on the street, holding up large pink symbols of angels to
cover up the Christians' messages and blowing high pitched whistles to
drown out their preaching.

Rather than arrest the homosexual activists and allow the Christians
to exercise their First Amendment rights, the Philadelphia police
arrested and jailed the Christians!

They were charged with eight crimes, including three felonies:
possession of instruments of crime (a bullhorn), ethnic intimidation
(saying that homosexuality is a sin), and inciting a riot (reading
from the Bible some passages relating to homosexuality) despite the
fact that no riot occurred.

You may think I am exaggerating. I'm not. Our AFA Center for Law
and Policy is representing these four individuals at no cost. We will
take this case all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary to get
justice.

There is so much more about this case I don't have room for it in this
letter. We have prepared a 25-minute VHS/DVD in which two AFA-CLP
attorneys discuss the case in detail.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved. We must not allow this
travesty of justice to continue.

Where was the ACLU?
I thought they defended "free speech" (at least that's what school teachers tell you they are defending).

Would you be willing to check on the accuracy of this post? The headline claims that the four Christians have been acquitted. As best I can determine, this is incorrect and not from the original. Also, the first line of the post inserts words not in the original text. These give the impression that a judge dismissed the charges against the four on viewing the video. Again, as best I can determine, the charges were dismissed against six others, but not the four in question, when the judge viewed the video.

We need to continue to push for the DOJ investigation. Public officials, and in particular, the prosecutor, should not be allowed to get away with this outrage!

Amazing. A city judge with common sense.

Despite what some Philly Pubs say Lynne Abraham is a twit.
