Should one post citations to news and commentary for people who probably can't read well? In the interest of education, I will do so, despite ignorant remarks following my eariler comment. (I'm sure there are more intelligent people here who already know this history, but I think it bears repeating.)
Read about Ronald Reagan's inauguration of his 1980 campaign in Philadelphia, Miss., here, here and here. The event, and the Southern Strategy behind it, are facts. They can't be evaded.
Trent Lott established just what he is through his own actions. I believe most Americans got the message.
