The two groups police themselves and do not allow members to drink alcohol in the open.

Hehe, we had that back in my college days, we called it "put the vodka in a ginger ale bottle so it's not in the open" Or "put the run in a ginger ale bottle so it's not in the open". Or...you get the point.

OK. No more beverages in containers, open or not. Alcohol can only be within the actual person, and not on or about him/her. I'd go with it.
