Anybody but Vilsack!

Isn't Vilsak term-limited in '06?

I don't think Iowa has term-limits, Republican Gov Brandstad was governor for about 59 years I think.

Vilsack? Isn't that a pickle?

That would leave a slightly Democratic district up for grabs and a possibile loss of a seat. If he runs he had better win.

Nussle, as chair of the Budget Committee, bears a large share of the responsibility for the mess we are in right now. I am supporting Bob Vander Plaats, a true conservative.

Tell me more about Vander Plaats.

No, but Vilsack is not seeking another term. Speculation is that he wants to run for president and the Iowa caucus in '08 is held in Iowa.

He is from Sioux City (Western Iowa, Steve King territory), a businessman who ran last time around. He has an organization in all 99 counties up and running. A little googling will get a website I believe. I am out of lit with the site and phone number on it.
Bob has the overwhelming majority of the old Salier organization backing him. Bob is a true conservative who has actually had to meet a payroll.

I know it seem like yesterday, but Harkin ran in 1992. No other Democrat except pro-lifer Pat Mahoney campaigned here then
To: nonliberal
I hope Salier gives it another shot at Harkin. Ganske was a loser from the beginning.

With any luck, that would help Vil(e)sack every bit as much as it helped Dungheap Harkin back in '00. It's worrying Hillary. That's why she wants the DNC to remove Iowa from being the first in the democratic primary in '08. The same goes for NH, because Dean and Kerry are expected to run for president and they are neighbors to the Granite state.

Nussle is nothing but a "Pretty Boy". The Iowa GOP need to get some one that knows how to play TRUE HARDBALL!
