MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.
The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.
I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?
Uhhhhh . . . no!
I'm channel surfing all over the place.
Our local news has been pre-empted all morning. Two trains collided the next town over (5 miles away) and dangerous chemicals are in the air. Residents urged to stay indoors and turn off ventilation. Many casualties and an unknown number of fatalities. FBI has been called. Hospital overflowing and University is a staging area with hazmat that looks like pictures we saw during the anthrax attacks.
Only one I can think of
I'm guessing its a backstabbing RINO.
Frist one of them?????
Who on earth?
1pm
About 1pm.
Oh wow ... prayers for those involved
C-span 1:00pm EST
(1 possible republican)
I want to see this moron and help drive him/her right out of office by tonight.
Let's go to the videotape! :)
I dont even think Frist is there today. I heard somewhere he is out somewhere.
I was wondering the same thing
Anyone have a time? Please keep a descriptive live thread for those of us that are cubicle bound!
Every one in the HOuse Repub caucus should be going over this article from Detroit
A Conyers staff member who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal told the Free Press that Grubbs and her cousin, Conyers' Detroit deputy chief of staff Marion Brown, along with a former Conyers aide, DeWayne Boyd, picked up the turkeys and later gave contradictory accounts of what happened to the birds.
The unnamed staff member raised concerns in a memo sent to both the FBI and House ethics committee. Conyers was the target of an informal ethics committee inquiry last year following a Free Press investigation about use of staff members during work hours for political campaigns.
Boyd, who was fired from Conyers' Detroit office in 2002, was convicted on seven counts of fraud last month in U.S. District Court in connection with a scam he ran from Conyers' office in 1999.
Quote it INTO THE RECORD, and then finish with, "Instead of sitting here asking "Where's the beef", perhaps Mr.Conyers should be back at his office asking "Where's the Turkey.?""
Every single Republican. By the time the first 10 get it out, He'll leave.
Bahh, he was at bush's convention he wouldnt contest Bush.
5 miles away from you might pose some problems for you too. Stay safe. Staging area is Clemson, right?
Gotta be Chafee. He certainly fits the description of "possible Republican".
As in "it's possible he's a Republican, but it's so hard to tell."
I see Democrat party a lot. Have they changed their names?
I can hardly believe that they would contest the election. Democrats have paid lip service to doing something about voter suppression for years. They are too gutless to actually step up to the plate and do something about it.
