Thanks, at first I was kind of embarassed about talking about my kid's achievements. Then, I thought about it for 5 seconds and decided, too bad. My kid is a soldier in the US Army, part of the greatest military in the history of the world. I'm going to talk about it, and too bad on you. I've never had a child in the military, what better place to talk about it than on Free Republic? My monthly dollar a day is nothing in comparison to what our kids are doing to protect our freedom, our liberty and our lives. But Free Republic brings us together to share experiences, laugh, cry, swear and gripe about current affairs.

I'm too old to join up, but I would in a heartbeat if I could. Of course, she'd kill me if she knew I was talkinhg about her. But, it's a mom's God given right to be proud of their children, especially when defending my home. What an awesome bunch of kids we've raised. Every single one of them in the military, I just could squeeze them all.

Very well. This weekend could be dicey in southern Idaho... the weather service can't make up their minds, but it could get uuuuuuggggly. Glad you're gettin out there early.
