Remedy has agreed to pay a $500,000 fine, $414,000 in civil penalties, and serve five years of probation - the maximum under federal sentencing guidelines.

Hmmm, "fraudulent 'I-9' employment eligibility documents."

That suggests some sort of ID data, perhaps phony or stolen SSNs.

If the company reported their earnings on W-2s the company's name is in the SSA's Earnings Suspense File (ESF) along with tens of thousands of other companies' employee earnings data and company ID.

Just a matter of time.

Except the government doesn't really care either unless it's directly related to a national security matter.

The first part pretty much amounts to the second (govt not doing buisness with companies that hire management with these actions on their records).

Weasels that suckel at the government teat rarely have skills outside marketing to the government. It is a specialization. Those that have skills marketable in the 'true private sector' can be thought of as having redeaming qualities.

Still how much of the 'true private sector' could afford to hire someone, knowing that it would preclude them from any government contract.

Bear Stearns, who has recently studied this illegal underground economy, concludes there are at least 20 million illegals in this country. TWENTY MILLION. According to them a population the size of NEW YORK STATE.
