If they succeed in this coup attempt the only thing that will happen is the "cold civil war" that exists now will become hot.

Although we all live in a "Blue" state, I have two "Red" state" brothers (plus myself) who collect guns, enjoy the shooting sports, as do our wives, sons and daughters. Unfortunately, one of my brothers is a liberal, as are his wife, and two Berkeley educated daughters. So, on a more serious and somber note, I hope this division never reverts back to the days of our Civil War. I have studied this unique American conflagration at great length, and there were literally thousands of "brothers who fought against brothers.".
