Last year my wife flew into Seattle because Portland was closed. I think it was this same week! She then rented a car to drive down to Portland for a business meeting and was going down Mt.Raneir(sp?) when absolute morons with no driving brains chain collided into her and tossed her on the black ice into traffic in the opposite direction, where a tanker truck drove overtop of her car.
If it's slippery in the coastal northwest, STAY AWAY!

I think today is the one year anniversary of that three-day snow and ice storm that closed everything down. I couldn't get out of my driveway because of the ice.
My husband had to drive to Portland that night, so he took the 4-wheel drive vehicle. It took him nearly five hours to go 150 miles. Scary, scary, scary.

>If it's slippery in the coastal northwest, STAY AWAY! Now, see that pretty much is SOP here in the midwest. How come you other folks don't get it? :-)
