Tsunami envy on the part of meteorologists over seizemologists. Some people get all the luck.......
This is a terrible and alarmist article, I hope you didn't waste too much precious time reading it. ;)
"There's going to be weather in the headlines this weekend, that's for sure."
Then you can bet there's not.
Ain't touchin' that one, not at all, no way, not me!
Whaaa? That's nasty!
The day after tomorrow, it's really happening quick everybody beat it to mexico
Do you hear me Andrea Gail? Andrea Gail get outta there.
Art Bell was right after all!
Oh, no! The dreaded Unnamed, Warm, Moist Storm System!
Are they more lethal when they don't have a cutesy nickname bestowed upon them by the National Weather Service?
Those of us who've lived in other, 'better' places long enough to appreciate what Iowa has to offer are just as glad the rest of you don't get it. ;O)
About 6 years ago, Money magazine named Cedar Rapids, Iowa the best place to raise a family. Having lived here the past 22 years, I have few real complaints. The easy lifestyle more than compensates for having to move snow a few times a season. Besides, if it weren't for winter, I wouldn't appreciate spring as much as I do. Spring is the one thing I love about winter.
Take your tongue out of your cheek. You're not far from wrong.
Well, it's a big storm, no doubt. Just not quite that they are trying to make of it. I actually started a thread on it yesterday morning to keep track of it.

Surely somewhere, someone is (still) calling it "freedom toast."
The lamestream media will do anything to keep all eyes on them. For shame!
Another weather pet peeve - wind chill. Let's not sensationalize the weather. Try - it's cold AND windy too. I'll give you feels like - right in the kisser!
RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!
I heard earlier this morning that the worst would be between the I-80/hwy 30 corridor.
What are your conditions now?
lol, I'm a weather lover myself. You might put me in a bad category if you saw how much I have been following the storm. ;)
It's a big ice-maker, but nothing historic. Still, lots of people in the U.S. will be affected in some way by the time it is over.
The only thing worse than the un-named, moist, warm storm system is the un-named, moist, warm, storm system, driving an SUV.
Thanks! I could use a snow day. :-)
Vanderburgh Co.also received 2-3 feet over Christmas. Our mail service & newspaper deliveries just got back to normal. I hope this storm bypasses So. IN. We still have snow piles in parking lots.
