>>Another of the newly elected black officials, Eldrin Bell, called the move illegal and filed for the restraining order granted by the judge. Bell is the new county commission chairman and former Atlanta police chief.
This is the part of this story that got my attention.
In the DeKalb County case here, where the new sheriff was murdered by a conspiracy planned by the old crooked sheriff, there was lots of squirrelly stuff going on, that caused the new sheriff to make many dismissals on taking office. He was then murdered shortly after.
I've heard of nothing like this in Clayton County, that would make moves like this more understandable.
Anyone have any idea what's really going on here? Nutcase new sheriff?
"I'm the Sheriff. You hear me. I'm the damn sheriff. I'll fire anyone I want cause I'm the damn sheriff. I'm the shogun of Clayton County. And there nothing, NOTHING anyone can do about it. You know why?"
"Because you're the damn sheriff?"
"Damn right, I'm the damn sheriff. Sheriff Shogun. People must be stupid thinking I ain't the damn sheriff. Crazy out their head. I'll take a gun and shoot them in their big stupid head. And there's nothing they can do about it. You know why? Because the damn sheriff did that. Sheriff Shogun for sure".
I've asked some of my Douglas county friends, and they have no idea. Conventional wisdom is someone just got a little too big for their britches.
